Christine Renken, a leading asbestos attorney who recently celebrated five years of Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason, one of the first mesothelioma law firms in the country. Ms. Renken began his university studies as a chemistry major at the University of Southern California, but soon found his calling in the law. She obtained a bachelor's degree in political science and sociology in 2001 and went on to attend Loyola Law School.
While Loyola worked Ms. Renken for a famous appellate firm and interned with a Justice of the Court of Appeal, Second District. She has also earned the first Honors Award for the highest quality in its Trial Advocacy class.
Ms. Renken graduated from Loyola in 2004 and began working for a medium sized business litigation firm in Orange County. At this firm, Ms. Renken involved in representing clients who had suffered from abuse, and succeeded in obtaining legal protection and restoration of the officers who had mistreated them or stolen from them. Ms. Renken says: "From my experience working with this company, I was committed to helping innocent victims of intentional wrongdoing."
After moving to Northern California, because of her husband's job in the U.S. Coast Guard, Ms. Renken actively sought a job with a law firm that would allow her to combine her skill of writing with her passion for helping people had been wronged or injured. Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason was the perfect fit. As a mesothelioma law firm that represents clients who have suffered greatly as a result of exposure to asbestos, the position Ms. Renken opportunity to use his legal skills to help them and their families.
Ms. Renken says, It has long been scientifically proven that Mesothelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos. Whats tragic is that the companies that mined asbestos and manufactured and distributed asbestos-containing products knew that they were injured and killed workers and users of their products long before they've given warnings, education or protection. As a result of their negligence and willful misconduct, thousands of good men and women and veterans who served our country die of mesothelioma each year just in the U.S. alone. Its my job to help those who are sick or dying because of this unconscionable behavior.
Ms. Renken specializes in all custody issues in a case, including conducting and responding to discovery, as corporate representative depositions, and prepare and opposite pre-trial motions. She uses her writing skills to obtain important facts and documents from the defendant and to defend against the many proposals defendants file to try to get out of a lawsuit.
She is currently a member of the California Bar, San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and the Queen's Bench. She is also active in the Coast Guard North Bay Spouses Club and is currently serving as president of the organization.
Last week, Ms. Renken recognized for its 5 year commitment and expertise have contributed to the many successful judgments and settlements on behalf of clients represented by Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason.
